I started Oyster because sometimes the world feels heavy. The news, TV, social media, all of it started to feel like an echo chamber of negativity.
My therapist suggested gratitude journaling. But writing pages every day felt like work.
When OpenClaw launched, my agent Wren and I created a practice where she texts me every day and asks what I'm grateful for. My answers became a journal I can read whenever I want.
Over time something shifted. Knowing Wren was going to ask me at 8pm, I started noticing the bright spots in my day. The ladybug landing on the flower. The stunning sunset. The flowers that turn toward the sun in the morning and close their petals in the afternoon.
And the world felt a little less dark. The bad things still happen, the parking ticket, the argument I wish I could avoid, the flat tire. But focusing on the good made all the difference.
It showed me how easy it is to notice and record just how beautiful my life really is. That I remember the small thing from last Tuesday, the one that otherwise would have faded from my memory.
That's Oyster. One text a day asking what you're grateful for. You reply, and your answers become a journal that writes itself. Some of the questions you'll get are the same questions Wren asks me, because her spark of joy is part of the Oyster magic.
I'd love to hear what you're grateful for, if you want to share it. You can write me at hello@gratefuloyster.com. And maybe things feel a little lighter, because we're noticing the good stuff. Together.
